You know though, a lot of stuff that is labled pop sounds nothing like what I consider pop, hell the Beatles and Nirvana are called pop.

Ha, I'm always saying stuff like REAL pop is The Beatles, The Vaselines, Beat Happening, Daniel Johnston, The Ramones, Nirvana, Shonen Knife, Half Japanese etc., I don't think you can call the stuff today pop, it's nothing like it. Actually I think pop started as like doo wop in the 50s and pop in the 60s. You hear names like The Shirelles and whatnot. Maybe even Mo-town. Now compare that to overly produced processed polished autoned computerized stuff of today who's only appeal is just that and it isn't even appealing, two different worlds.

I'm curious, what is the protocol for telling people about this forum? Is it encouraged? It's nice that this is a cozy forum but I didn't know if you were looking to bring more people in or just invite people from grunge forum. Spam other forums and sites with ads! ;D |

I was always a huge animal lover and hate to hear stories like that. People can be so cruel. Ha, people always act like I'm an animal charmer or something because even pets that are supposed to hate people always cuddle up to me, it's like they can sense who animal people are. |
