COVER CHALLENGE Here you will be challenged to do an acoustic cover of a song in the specified genre.
RULES: -First come first serve. Once a song has been picked its off limits to others for the remainder of the challenge. Post the name of the song you wish to do and I will start a list on the OP. - The cover need only be recorded acoustically, mixing and mastering is up to the artist. -The cover need not be done in the style of the genre, you're encouraged to make it your own. example: a cover of a rap song done in folk style or a disco song done in country style. -Only one track at a time, you can however do other tracks from those remaining on the list after you have completed the previous one. -Make your track accessable to the page of the challenge, it can be a video or audio track, embedding is up to you. I would prefer that no one be forced to download anything to listen to the tracks. -HAVE FUN

Well I was going to make a list but since there are still so few of us I figured I would make it a grab bag of the genre. This is just the first of hopefully many, and if we start to get a lot more participants the staff can collaborate on a list of song options for up coming challenges. I would prefer people to post the name of the song before hand that way you dont have 2 people working on the same track, or get yours all ready and come on to post it and see that someone else has already done the cover.
Personally I wont be posting any music for at least 2 weeks, probably closer to 3, not that I havent been recording tracks but I just cant convert them yet. $$$$$$$$$$$$

doesnt hurt to try Kaylan! I know. I eventually will. My dad has recording equipment and I need to find a time where he can show me how to use it. I had some free programs for recording but I can't get them to work well on my computer. I tried messing around with it today and got frustrated.

Audacity is free and a decent starter program I downloaded that today and couldn't get it to work but thanks to Jaryd I think I have it figured out. I'm gonna try recording just a short thing tomorrow.
